We recommend that your dog and cat be kept on preventative heartworm medication year-round. Did you know that each year nearly 50 million dogs face the possibility of death from heartworms? Heartworms are parasites that are spread by mosquitoes and heartworm disease is appearing with increasing frequency in California. Call us to schedule heartworm testing which involves a simple blood test during your pet's next appointment.
