Dr. Theresa Chao, graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Animal Science in 2015 before completing her veterinary education at UC Davis SVM in 2019. Her passion for animals stems from a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond, leading her to advocate for animals and educate the public. As a practicing veterinarian, Dr. Chao finds fulfillment in directly helping animals and their owners, witnessing patients' recovery, and building connections with fellow animal enthusiasts. Her interests in veterinary medicine encompass preventative care, soft tissue surgery, and mastering ultrasound techniques.

Outside of work, Dr. Chao enjoys quality time with family and friends, exploring nature through hiking, traveling, and indulging in culinary experiences. At home, she shares her life with two beloved pets: Isky, a Chihuahua Terrier, and Quinoa, a black kitty. Dr. Chao's fluency in Mandarin Chinese further enriches her ability to connect with diverse communities, reflecting her dedication to serving both animals and their human companions.
